Seymour won the state Little League softball title for the second year in a row, clinching the title with a 10-3 win over Mystic/Groton in Game 3 of the state championship series July 15. Seymour advanced to the Little League East Regional in Bristol, where Seymour went unbeaten in pool play before losing in the semifinals.
Jill Andes scored on a wild pitch in the top of the sixth inning to give Seymour a 1-0 victory over Mystic/Groton in Game 1 July 12 in Orange. Karly Morales’ RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave Mystic/Groton a 1-0 victory over Seymour in Game 2 July 13. CPTV Sports covered the first two games and will show them in upcoming days (check broadcast schedule).

Aspen Ryan hit an RBI triple in the sixth inning then scored on an uncaught third strike as Mystic/Groton defeated Columbia/Norwich/Preston 2-0 in the Connecticut Section 2 Little League softball championship game July 10 at Coginchaug High in Durham. CPTV Sports was there and will show the broadcast premiere Sunday July 13 at 7:00pm
Mystic/Groton advances to the best-of-three Little League softball state championship series, where it will face Section 1 champion Seymour beginning Saturday July 12 at 1:00pm in Orange. CPTV Sports will cover that series as well; the Game 1 premiere is Wednesday July 16 at 7:00pm. Game 2, which will be played Sunday July 13 at 4:00pm, will premiere July 18 at 7:00pm.
