Caroline DelVecchio had 13 kills, Cassidy Kirby 14 digs and Haiey Pierson 31 blocks to lead Amity-Woodbridge to a 3-1 (25-21, 18-25, 25-20, 25-20) victory at Woodland Regional-Beacon Falls Sept. 22. CPTV Sports will show the broadcast premiere Thursday Sept. 25 at 7:30pm, after the newest edition of GameTime.
Mike Scherer threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score as Xavier held on to defeat North Haven 21-14 Sept. 19 in an SCC football game seen LIVE on CPTV Sports.
Xavier (2-0), ranked No. 9 in CPTV Sports’ GameTime Power Poll, trailed 14-7 at the half. Scherer scored on an 8-yard run to tie hit, then hit John Sullivan with a 57-yard TD pass to take the lead.
North Haven (1-1) drove to the Xavier 12 after a 41-yard pas from Jack Stienmann to Jeremy Imperati. But the Falcons closed with a four-down defensive stand that included two tackles for big losses and a knocked-down pass in the end zone.

Gina Carroll had five saves to help Ellington preserve a 0-0 tie with Suffield in girls soccer Sept. 18. CPTV Sports was there and will show replays in upcoming days (see below).
Suffield goalie Jessica Cunningham did not have to make a save for the Wildcats (2-0-1). Ellington is 1-0-2. The match between NCCC rivals — which ended with two five-minute overtimes — does not count in the league standings; the rematch is Oct. 18.
Colton Grob scored the game’s first goal seven minutes into the second half to lead Suffield High to a 3-0 NCCC boys soccer victory over visiting Ellington Sept. 18. CPTV Sports was there and will show the broadcast premiere Monday Sept. 22 at 8:30pm.
Suffield (3-0) won its 38th game in a row, five short of tying the state record. Ellington (2-1) was the last to beat Suffield, Sept. 27, 2012.
