Sophomore Madison Seymour scored with 17:38 remaining to give Glastonbury High a 1-0 victory over RHAM-Hebron in the CCC girls soccer tournament championship game Oct. 29 at Middletown High. CPTV Sports was there and will show the broadcast premiere Sunday Nov. 2 at 4:00pm
Glastonbury (18-1) won its first confernce title. RHAM goalie Christina Folsom had 13 saves for RHAM (16-3) and Abbey Renaud had three for Glastonbury. The Tomahawks (Class LL) and Sachems (L) are likely to be top seeds in their divisions in the CIAC tournament.

Marcos Bozi scored on a pass from Ozgur Horuz off Rick Lopez’s free kick to give Maloney-Meriden a 2-1 win over RHAM-Hebron in the CCC boys soccer tournament final Oct. 29 at Middletown High. CPTV Sports was there and will show the broadcast premiere Sunday Nov. 2 at 6:00pm.
The score was tied at 1 when Bozi scored in the 59th minute to win it for Maloney (16-2-2), likely to be one of the top seeds in the CIAC Class L tournament along with RHAM (15-2-2).
Lopez scored in the 32nd minute to give Maloney the lead. Kyle Purcell scored in the 50th minute for RHAM following a rebound off Wade Titterton’s free kick from 40 yards. That was the first goal Maloney allowed in nine games.
Cameron Fahey had five saves for Maloney; John Pilver had three for RHAM, which had a 15-game unbeaten streak going into the game.

Trinity College football returns to CPTV Sports Saturday Nov. 1 when the Bantams host Amherst LIVE at 12:30pm in a NESCAC battle.
Trinity (5-1) is coming off a 27-7 loss to Middlebury that ended the Bantams’ 53-game home winning streak.
Nov. 8, CPTV Sports will be in Middletown LIVE at noon as the Bantams renew their rivalry with Wesleyan. The Cardinals lost to Amherst 33-30 in overtime in a game seen LIVE on CPTV Sports.

Quarterback Rafael Lebron of Cheney Tech-Manchester has been voted our fall Week 6 UChoose Student-Athlete of the Week!
Rafael, a junior, was 12-for-16 passing for 337 yards and five touchdowns and ran for a score in Cheney Tech’s 55-36 win over visiting O’Brien Tech in a CSC game football game Friday.
Congrats to Rafael, who joins Fairfield Warde soccer player Taylor Grabenas and Cheshire girls volleyball player Jillian Haberli and Torrington boys soccer player Kevin Vaca as our UChoose honorees this fall.
