High School Boys Hockey

Sheehan-Wallingford 7, Joel Barlow-Redding 4

Christian Giacondino had two goals and two assists as Sheehan-Wallingford rallied from an early deficit with three third-period goals to defeat Joel Barlow-Redding 7-4 in a boys hockey game February 12 at Danbury Ice Arena. The game was part of the Danbury tripleheader covered by CPTV Sports; see replays in upcoming days (check broadcast schedule). Sheehan (11-3-1) is rated third in CIAC Division III.

North Haven 1, Trinity Catholic 1


Mike Hribko scored with 1:43 left in regulation to help North Haven earn a 1-1 overtime tie with Trinity Catholic-Stamford January 29 at the Northford Ice Pavilion in North Branford. CPTV Sports will show the replay several times in upcoming days (check broadcast schedule). North Haven is 8-2-3, Trinity Catholic 8-1-1. Trinity’s Kyle Odierno had 49 saves and North Haven’s Andrew Graziano 26 in the matchup between two of CIAC Division II’s top-rated teams.

Hand-Madison 3, Tri-Town 0


Ben Solin had a hat trick and Danny Braumann three assists to lead Hand to a 3-0 boys hockey win over Tri-Town January 29 at at the Northford Ice Pavilion in North Branford. Goalie Chase Briggs had 19 saves for the Tigers (6-6). CPTV Sports will show the broadcast premiere Saturday February 1 at 7:00 pm.

Branford 7, North Branford 1


Tyler Hackett had four goals, including a third-period hat trick, as Branford defeated North Branford 7-1 in boys hockey January 29 at Northford Ice Pavilion. CPTV Sports will show replays in upcoming days (check broadcast schedule). Branford, one of the top-rated teams in CIAC Division II, improved to  9-1-1.

Notre Dame-West Haven 4, Fairfield Prep 4

Ken Kochiss scored at 6:21 of the third period to help No. 2 Fairfield Prep overcome four goals by Ryan Lynch of No. 1 Notre Dame-West Haven and force  a 4-4 boys hockey tie Jan. 4 at Wonderland of Ice in Bridgeport.
