CPTV Sports Ticket Giveaway: New Britain Rock Cats Game on Thursday, April 16, 2015
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES:
(1) Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc. – parent company of Connecticut Public Television (CPTV), CPTV4U, CPTV Sports and Connecticut Public Radio (WNPR) – and the New Britain Rock Cats will award a prize package consisting of the following: twenty-five (25) family 4-packs of tickets to the New Britain Rock Cats vs. the New Hampshire Fisher Cats game on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 6:35 p.m. The value of each prize package (4 tickets) is approximately $24.00. Participants must be 18 years or older to enter. Limit one (1) contest entry per person. Entries become the property of Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc.
(2) All entries must be received via the online entry form or via postcard by Thursday April 16, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. ET (Eastern Time). Limit one contest entry per person. Entries must be received via the www.cptvsports.org, www.cpbn.org, www.cptv.org or www.wnpr.org websites.
(3) No purchase is necessary to enter or to win.
(4) Additional Rules
a. Eligibility
Contest is offered only to Connecticut residents 18 years of age or older. Employees and trustees of Connecticut Public Broadcasting Inc., CPTV, WNPR, and CPTV Sports, and the New Britain Rock Cats and their affiliated and subsidiary companies and the immediate family or members of their same households of such employees and trustees, are not eligible. By entering, entrants agree to these Official Contest Rules, and the decisions of Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc., which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor(s) (“Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc.” and the “New Britain Rock Cats”) reserve the right to change, alter or modify the eligibility and prize structure for the contest. Further, any such change, alteration or modification may limit the newly introduced eligibility to the contest.
b. Promotional Period
Promotional period begins on Tuesday, April 14 2015 at 6 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), and ends on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. ET (Promotional Period). During the Promotional Period, twenty-five (25) family 4-packs of tickets to the New Britain Rock Cats vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats game on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 6:35 p.m., will be determined. Sponsor(s), however, reserve the right to terminate the promotion by giving notice, deemed appropriate by the Sponsor(s), in which case the Promotion will terminate on the day of that notice.
c. Entry
To enter, complete the online contest entry form from the CPTV Sports web site (www.cptvsports.org), or send a postcard to “The New Britain Rock Cats Home Opener Ticket Giveaway,” C/O Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc., 1049 Asylum Ave., Hartford, Connecticut 06105. All entries must include name, complete home address, including zip code, and home telephone number (including area code) and email address. Limit one (1) contest entry per person. Entries which are not completed with any requested information will be deemed ineligible. The eligibility of any entry will be determined by Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc., whose judgment is final.
No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, illegible or postage due entries, email or mail; or for any computer, telephone, cable, network, satellite, electronic or Internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections, availability or garbled or jumbled transmissions, or service provider/Internet/web site/use net accessibility or availability, traffic congestion, or unauthorized human intervention, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or other information, or the failure to capture any such information.
d. Drawing
Twenty-five (25) winners of the contest will be determined during the promotion period from all eligible entries received. To be eligible for the contest drawing, entries must be received between Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at 6 p.m. (noon) Eastern Time (ET), and ends on Thursday, April 16, 2014, at 12:00 p.m. ET (Promotional Period). The winners will be notified by telephone or email within approximately one (1) hour of the drawing on Thursday, April 16, 2015. The drawing will be conducted under the supervision of Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc. Tickets must be picked up at Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network’s headquarters at 1049 Asylum Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105 by 5 p.m. April 16.
e. Prizes/Odds
The prizes consist of twenty-five (25) family 4-packs of tickets to the New Britain Rock Cats vs. the New Hampshire Fisher Cats game on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 6:35 p.m. The value of each prize packet is approximately $24.00. The winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Promotional Period.
Odds of winning in any drawing depend on the number of eligible entries received for that drawing. No assignment, transfer or substitution of prize is permitted. There will be no limit on the number of eligible entries.
f. General Conditions
By entering the contest, winners agree to the following:
Where permitted by law, winner agrees to grant to Sponsor(s) and those acting pursuant to the direction or control of either of them, the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, worldwide in any media now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the World Wide Web, at any time or times, the winner’s name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information as news or information and for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without additional consideration; and further without such additional compensation, appear for, or provide biographical information for use in, any presentation or other activity which may include filming/audio/video/electronic or other recordings and/or interviews, as may be determined from time to time by the Sponsor(s).
By accepting a prize a winner agrees that any Affidavit and/or Releases, and any grant of permission to use the winner’s name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and biographical information, as stated above, may be secured by Sponsor(s) electronically, for example but not limited to, by email or by facsimile, and such secured Affidavit and/or Releases and permission will have the same force and effect as if any of them had been secured in a written document which was physically executed by the winner. Further, by accepting a prize, each winner releases and agrees to hold harmless the Sponsor(s), Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc. and the New Britain Rock Cats, and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective trustees, directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents of each of them from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to person, including death, and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize, participation in any contest related activity, or participation in this contest. Void where prohibited.
The Sponsor(s) reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual they find, in their sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or web site; to be in violation of the Terms of Service of the web site, to be acting in violation of the Official Contest Rules; or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. The Sponsor(s) will prosecute any fraudulent activities to the full extent of the law.
g. Limitations of Liability
Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc. and the New Britain Rock Cats, and any of their related or affiliated companies (collectively, “Sponsor Parties”), are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by web site users, or tampering or hacking, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest and assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to the web site. Sponsor Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants’ or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in this contest or downloading materials from or use of the web site. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor(s), could corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, Sponsor(s) reserve the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest for any drawing(s) and select the winner from entries received for that drawing prior to the action taken or in such other manner as Sponsor(s) deems fair and equitable.
IN NO EVENT WILL CONNECTICUT PUBLIC BROADCASTING, INC. AND THE NEW BRITAIN ROCK CATS, OR THEIR AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, AND RELATED COMPANIES, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, TRUSTEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE ACCESS TO AND USE OF INTERNET SITE WWW.CPTVSPORTS.ORG, OR THE DOWNLOADING FROM AND/OR PRINTING MATERIAL DOWNLOADED FROM SAID SITE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, EVERYTHING ON THIS SITE IS PROVIDED — AS IS — WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. Limit one (1) contest entry per person. The names of winners will also be posted at www.cptvsports.org.
