HS Girls Basketball: Lauralton Hall 53, Amity 44

Lauralton Hall took a 14-point halftime lead and held off Amity’s second-half comeback bid in a 53-44 SCC girls basketball win Jan. 30 in Woodbridge. CPTV Sports was there and will show the broadcast premiere Tuesday Feb. 3 at 7:30pm.

Defending CIAC Class LL champion Lauralton Hall, which led 27-13 at the half thanks to 13 points from Amethyst Barzee (3-for-3 on three-pointers), improved to 8-5 and clinched a state tournament berth. Amity, which went on a 19-4 second half run to cut the lead to one, is 7-7.
