NECBL: Danbury 9, North Adams 8 (10)

Brendan Cox hit a bases-loaded grounder to deep short to score the winning run in the 10th inning as the Danbury Westerners defeated the North Adams SteepleCats 9-8 in an NECBL game July 15 streamed LIVE on CPTVSports.org. The broadcast premiere is Wednesday July 22 at 8:00pm.

The day before, Cox hit a two-run single to give Danbury a 3-2 win over the Mystic Schooners in the second game of a doubleheader also streamed LIVE at CPTVSports.org. The broadcast premiere is Saturday July 18 at 8:00pm. Mystic’s 6-1 win in Game 1 will premiere Friday July 17 at 7:00pm.

Cox’s grounder completed Danbury’s rally from a 6-0 deficit. The Westerners improved to 9-20 and are 2 1/2 games out of a playoff berth in the Southern Division of the NECBL, is a wood-bat developmental league for college players from all over the country.
